Rolling Stone: Indie Rock Darlings Fleet Foxes dippier than Rebecca Black

Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield sees no remedy to the banality of pop music in the ivory tower of Indie Rock. About the much deified Strokes, he says:

Like, have you heard the Strokes album? They would be lucky to come up with a pithy phrase like “Sunday comes afterwards.” At least Rebecca Black doesn’t try to make up words like “gratisfaction.”
